LAKEWOOD, Colo. -
Riley Gallagher's goal in overtime lifted the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs to a 2-1 win over the Colorado Christian Cougars Sunday afternoon.
After finishing regulation play ties at one, Gallagher redirected a shot by
Matt Friesen after a
Greg Miley crossing pass.
The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Mountain Lions and improved their season record to 7-9-1, 4-7-1 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
The Cougars are now winless in their past 11 games and have been outscored 64-5 over that span. For the season, Colorado Christian is 2-14-2, 0-11-1 in the RMAC.
Joda Hankins opened the scoring just 6:18 into the contest. He converted a turnover into an unassisted shot that zipped through the left half of the net to put the hosts in front 1-0.
Dami Oladiran tied the match in the 72nd minute.
Greg Miley sent a crossing pass that Friesen touched over to Oladiran for the shot.
Adam Liszewski made four saves for UCCS, while Jared Jacobs made five for the Cougars.
