The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (3-15, 1-8 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) suffered its eighth straight loss Sunday afternoon in the Lions Den. No. 10 Metro State (14-4 8-1) defeated the Mountain Lions in three games.
After Metro State dominated Game 1 winning 30-14, Game 2 was much more tightly contested.

Neither team lead by more than four points until Metro State broke a 19-19 tie with a 6-1 run that gave them the lead for good at 25-20. The Roadrunners went on to win the game 30-23.
The Mountain Lions hit .310 in Game 2, more that .200 points higher than the pervious game.
"We played as a team much better in the second game," said Head Coach Tara Miller. "But we came out in the third game and played just like we did in the first."
Metro jumped out to a 15-2 lead in Game 3 and coasted to a 30-15 win to seal the match.
The Roadrunners used a balance attacked having three players record double-digit kills led by Jessy Roy's 12. Metro hit .391 as a team for the match.
The Mountain Lions were lead by Denman who had nine kills and
Jessica Hollingshead who had 11 digs.
