Ryan Buchanan won the 400-meter dash at the Western State Alumni Open with a time of 51.78 seconds. He ran nearly a half-second faster on the wide-radius track compared to the Colorado Mines Division II Invitational the week before. Buchanan also led the Mountaineers in the 200-meter dash with 23.58 seconds.
