Tanner Comes won the RMAC No. 2 event with an 8-under 202 and earned RMAC Golfer of the Week award. He opened with a 5-under 65 on Monday morning to lead the tournament but dropped to second in the afternoon with a 1-under 69. He retook the lead in the final round with a 2-under 68 for his first win in his fourth collegiate tournament.

Comes helped lead the Mountain Lions to a share of the 2016-17 RMAC regular season championship as UCCS won the tournament by eight strokes ahead of Colorado Mines. It was the second straight regular season title for the Mountain Lions and the 13th overall conference title in program history.
