Sarah Meier is in her eighth year with Mountain Lion Athletics in 2025-26. She was named Associate Athletic Director for External Relations in April 2018, and the department’s Senior Woman Administrator in December 2019.
Prior to arriving at UCCS, Meier was the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Information at Fort Lewis College since 2013, with a previous stint at FLC in the same role from 2002-2006. Meier was the primary media contact for the athletic department along with overseeing the department website, social media, statistics, game day operations, along with marketing/promotion for athletic events.
From 2006-2013, Meier served as the associate commissioner for the RMAC, providing leadership in all areas of the conference office from running championships, producing conference publications, fundraising, media relations as well as serving as the conference's Senior Woman Administrator.
Meier has also provided leadership at the regional and national levels, having served on many NCAA and College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) committees. Meier previously served as the NCAA South Central Region Chair for Women's Soccer along with being a National Committee member. She has also been on the NCAA Policies and Statistics committee and has served as an NCAA National Tournament Site Representative. She has also been a member of the CoSIDA Division II Board of Directors.
Meier attended St. Cloud State University in Minnesota and was a four-year member of the women's basketball team, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in mass communications and a master's degree in sports administration. Meier and her husband, Nathan, have three children – Luke, Hannah, and Matthew.
