Karli Moore was named the assistant women's basketball coach in July 2026, and will be entering her first season with the Mountain Lions in 2026-27.
Moore joins the Mountain Lions after previously serving as an assistant women's basketball coach at Tarleton State University from 2015-20. During her five seasons on the coaching staff, she assisted with practice planning, game preparation, recruiting, scouting, team travel, compliance documentation and community engagement.
At Tarleton State, Moore coordinated team travel and meal arrangements, prepared scouting reports and film breakdowns, assisted with recruiting efforts, organized camps and community service activities, and managed team expense documentation. She also worked closely with student-athletes during practices and throughout the program's day-to-day operations.
Following her time in collegiate athletics, Moore worked in management and customer service roles in Maui, Hawaii, where she oversaw daily operations, coordinated scheduling and logistics, and collaborated with clients and staff.
Before beginning her coaching career, Moore played four seasons at Tarleton State from 2011-15, appearing in 100 games with 27 starts during her senior season. She helped the Texans capture the Lone Star Conference Tournament championship as a freshman and advance to three NCAA Regional Tournaments during her career. Moore was a three-time Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll selection and earned LSC All-Academic honors in 2015. She averaged 4.9 points and 2.8 rebounds per game over her collegiate career, including career-best averages of 7.3 points and 4.5 rebounds per game as a senior in head coach Misty Wilson's first season leading the program.
A native of Texas, Moore earned a Master of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sport Management from Tarleton State University in 2017 after completing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with All-Level Certification and a minor in mathematics in 2015. She graduated cum laude with a 4.0 undergraduate GPA and earned a 3.80 GPA in graduate school.
