Dr. Karl Reisig, MD

Dr. Reisig completed a family medicine residency in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, with Penn Medicine-Lancaster General Health and a primary care sports medicine fellowship with Wake Forest University/Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He is board certified in family medicine and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine.

He has had the privilege and joy of being the head team physician for Montana State University athletics, as well as team physician for Wake Forest University, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, the Carolina Thunderbirds (a hockey team in the Federal Hockey League), and several high schools in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Montana.

Dr. Reisig’s interests in sports medicine include sports-related concussions and management of medical conditions in athletes. In addition, he performs ultrasound-guided injections of small and large joints. He enjoys working closely with colleagues in orthopedic surgery, physical therapy, and athletic training to treat musculoskeletal and sports-related concerns to allow a safe and timely return to play and activity. As a family physician, he also enjoys managing acute and chronic medical issues across the spectrum of primary care.
