Biography

2002: Will compete for a starting spot at middle blocker utilizing her size and lateral quickness.

2001: Saw action in 11 games ... had 11 kills, 12 blocks, and 3 digs ... had six ills and two blocks on Setp. 7, against Colorado Mesa

2000: Played in 59 games ... ranked fifth on the team in kills with 51 ... also added 34 blocks and 23 digs during her freshman year ... recorded a career-high five blocks on Oct. 27, against Fort Lewis ... scored a career-high eight kills on Oct. 15, against Colorado Mines.

Before UCCS: Received six varsity letters in high school ... two-time first-team All-State selection ... led team to fifth place finish at 2000 state championships ... first-team All-State selection in track as well.

Personal: Majoring in Communication ... enoys snowboarding and playing hockey ... has one sister, Tara ... parents are Jim and Sue Buchheister ... born August 4, 1981
