Lindsey Balconi joined the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer program as the assistant coach in July 2018.
A standout Division I student-athlete from the University of Cincinnati, Balconi competed for the Bearcats from 2005-09, earning Big East Academic All-Star accolades all four seasons. A four-year starter for the Bearcats, Balconi was named the Bearcat Spotlight Athlete of the Week in December 2006 and was named the team captain her senior year.
A native of Texas, Balconi led the North Texas Region in high school in goals (46) and assists (30) after earning the Texas High School Gatorade Player of the Year in 2003.
Following her collegiate playing career, Balconi received a contract offer in 2009 from the Buffalo Flash women's soccer team.
In 2009, Balconi co-founded and co-owned Balconi Top Training, an elite pro performance center that was headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio and trained more than 500 athletes annually in its 9,000 square foot facility.
Balconi served as the financial and administrator officer for the company, assisting in client relations, finances, technical support, sales, marketing and advertising, as well as coordinating training programs and training top Midwest clubs, and high school soccer teams.
She designed and implemented personalized programs for women's soccer players at the U.S. National level and worked with more than 500 players annually on soccer skills, speed, and strength specialist and analysis. Six athletes that trained at the Balconi Top Training play for the youth Women's U.S. National Soccer Team program.
On the coaching level, Balconi holds a U.S. Soccer National C coaching license. In 2010, she obtained her National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association (NESTA) certificate in Personal Training and as a Sports Nutritionist. She has served as an assistant camp director for Balconi Top Training Camps and the West Virginia Chaos Women's Camps.
Balconi graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2009 with a degree in Political Science.
She is married to Reneé Balconi. They have one son, DiMaggio Balconi.
