A record-setting golfer for Colorado Mesa University, Sadie Farnsworth will be entering her sixth season as head coach for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women’s golf team.
In five seasons, Farnsworth has recorded the program's third consecutive top three conference finish. The 2017-18 season marked UCCS Women's Golf first RMAC conference championship. Their first championship led to the program's first NCAA Regional appearance and an eighth place finish in the NCAA West Regional Tournament. In addition to the most successful season in program history, Farnsworth earned RMAC Women's Golf Coach of the Year. Farnsworth also helped coach Juila Baroth who was awarded RMAC Women's Golf Freshman of the Year. To close out the 2017-18 season, three Mountain Lions were named to the RMAC All-Academic team, as well as three Mountain Lions named to the All-RMAC team.Â
Farnsworth was the team captain at Colorado Mesa in the 2008-09 season. She holds the Maverick record for lowest round against par and is sixth in CMU records in career win-loss percentage and seventh in career rounds played. Farnsworth led Colorado Mesa to the NCAA regional tournament and was an RMAC Second Team selection in her senior season.Â
Farnsworth was the RMAC Academic Golfer of the Year, the Colorado Mesa RMAC Honor Student-Athlete in 2009 and was a three-time member of the RMAC All-Academic Teams. She earned her bachelor's degree in kinesiology and exercise science in 2009.Â
