Abby Leaf joined the UCCS Women's Cross Country and Track & Field staff in Fall 2021.
A 2018 graduate from UCCS with a B.S. in Exercise Science, she competed for the Mountain Lions in cross country and track from 2015-2018, highlighted by two NCAA DII National Cross-Country Championship appearances.
Since graduating, Leaf has continued to compete in athletics. She is a two-time Triple Crown Series winner (2018 and 2019), sixth-place finisher in the Pikes Peak Ascent (2019) and has completed two marathons and one ultra marathon.
Leaf began her coaching career at Discovery Canyon High School where she served as the Head Cross Country Coach from 2018-2021 and the Head Track & Field Coach in 2020 and 2021. During her time at Discovery Canyon, her teams qualified for the State Cross Country Championships every year and had numerous individual and relay qualifiers for the State Track & Field Championships.
