Shannon Rousseau, a Colorado Springs native who played at Otero Junior College and the University of Hawaii at Hilo, is in her first season as an assistant coach with the Mountain Lions.
Rousseau started in 23 games and played in all 50 games of her two-year career at Hilo and collected 51 assists and 40 steals as a Vulcan. At Otero, she led the team with 40 percent from the three-point line and 82 percent from the free throw line in her sophomore season for Taylor Wagner, who is now the head coach at Colorado Mesa.
Rousseau is a Pine Creek High School graduate and was the Class 4A/5A three-point champion. She was First Team All-Metro in basketball and honorable mention in volleyball.
Rousseau earned a degree in communication at Hawaii at Hilo.
