J’Nae Squires-Horton joined the Mountain Lion women’s basketball program as a graduate assistant in 2019. A native of Colorado Springs, Colo. and a graduate of Sand Creek High School, Squires-Horton is earning her graduate degree from UCCS in Communications.
A three-year member of the MSU Denver Roadrunners, Squires-Horton started 71 of 90 games for the Roadrunners. She averaged 11.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists while shooting 35.7 percent from the floor, 33.6 percent from three-point range and 87.3 percent from the free throw line.
Squires-Horton was named to the All-RMAC Second Team in 2016-17 and 2017-18 while also earning the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for three semesters.
Squires-Horton started her career at Adams State University in 2014-15, where she averaged 8.3 points, 1.7 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.2 assists per game and shot 40.0 percent from 3-point range.
Following her graduation at MSU Denver with a degree in Journalism, Squires-Horton played one season in Latvia with the Latvian Basketball League’s SBK Liepaja/LSSS.
