1997: Team MVP ... team's top finisher in all seven meets ... led the Gold to a second place finish at UNC Invitational with a career-best 25:56, good for a third-place individual finish ... finished 34th at the RMAC Championships ... placed second at RMAC Track & Field Championships in the 10,000-meters.

1996: Team MVP as a freshman ... Was the team's top finisher in four of the six meets ... had personal-best 26:20 and finished 11th at Fort Hays State meet.

Before UCCS: Placed sixth at the state cross country meet in 1995 ... named '95 3A All-Area Runner of the Year by the Gazette Telegraph ... Metro League Champion ... Led team to '95 state runner-up finish.

Personal: Majoring in business ... enjoys mountain biking and rock climbing ... parents are Todd Briney and Teresa Loughran ... has two sisters, Tina and Tara ... born August 18, 1978.
