Willie Moore is in his third season with UCCS. He is the head recruiter and coaches the 800 meter runners.
Willie graduated with a B.A. in Economics from UCCS in 2019. He competed in cross country and track for UCCS earning all-RMAC in indoor and outdoor track, USTFCCCA all-academic awards in cross country, and served as cross country team captain in 2018.
In 2018, the UCCS Men’s Cross Country Team finished 12th overall at the D2 National Championship Meet in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was the 2nd highest finish in school history.
Willie’s past coaching experience includes middle school cross country and track at Monument Academy Charter School and high school cross country and track at Discovery Canyon High School. Willie is a student of the sport and still competes today. Recently he ran a 65:46 half marathon, 14:22 for 5k, and 8:08 for 3k.
