UCCS Athletics

Ian Ely-Cate in in the middle of his second season as a graduate assistant coach for the UCCS men’s basketball program.

Ely-Cate spent the three seasons as the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Columbus Junction High School in Iowa. He also worked as a Youth Sports Coordinator with the City of Iowa City and as an English teacher in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

He graduated from the University of Iowa after transferring from Knox College in Galesburg, Ill.
