Elijah Ross enters his first season as Men's Basketball Assistant Coach, after spending the 2023-24 season as a volunteer assistant.
Ross attended UCCS as a student-athlete before entering the coaching ranks. Competing as the Mountain Lions point man from 2015-19, Ross garnered several honors during his time in black and gold including a 1st Team All-RMAC selection after the 2017-18 season. Ross also held the freshman assists record before it was broken this past season by Xavier Martinez, whom Ross helped coach as the team’s volunteer assistant coach.
On top of serving as the Men’s Basketball Volunteer Assistant this past season, Ross brings in coaching and consulting experience which includes working with players at all levels of high school through professional. Having worked with clients who span from overseas talent, NBA G-League players, and student athletes from both NCAA Divisions I & II, Ross brings experience with an array of different players from countless different backgrounds. Pair his individual coaching experience with coaching junior varsity at Vista Peak Prep in Aurora, as well as assisting with the Varsity program at VPP and the varsity team at Legend High School in Parker, Ross brings many impressive tools to the UCCS sideline ahead of the 2024-25 athletic season.
