Andrew Tracz heads into his sxith year in 2021-22 as the University of Colorado Colorado Springs Assistant Athletic Trainer. Tracz, who joined the team in July 2016, is the primary athletic trainer for the volleyball and baseball programs.
As part of the Mountain Lions athletic training staff, Tracz assists with pre-participation screenings and functional movement screens for all incoming student-athletes. His responsibilities also include assisting with secondary insurance excess claims, and scheduling orthopedic and general medical appointments for the Mountain Lions student-athletes.
Prior to joining the UCCS staff, he served as an assistant athletic trainer for three years at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, serving as the primary contact for the Division I women’s soccer and baseball teams. Tracz, who also was a graduate intern at UMBC from 2011-13, assisted in caring for UMBC’s additional 15 Division I programs, including practice and game coverage for both basketball teams and track & field.
A licensed athletic trainer in Colorado, Tracz is also a certified American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Provider.
Tracz graduated Cum Laude from Marist College (Poughkeepsie, NY) in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. As part as his undergraduate experience, he held the role as an athletic training student, assisting with healthcare coverage for the Division I baseball and football programs, assisting physical therapists with evaluations and rehabilitation, and working with a certified athletic trainer for high school spring sports.
