Points awarded on winner-take-all basis in sports, with four points available in each sport and five points for academics.
  • In soccer, a split (each team wins once) will split the points. But in the event of a win and a tie, the team with the win will claim all four points. If the teams only play once, the winner will claim all four points, if the teams tie, the points will be split.
  • In baseball and softball, the winner of the series will claim all four points. If the series is evenly split, then the points will be evenly split. If the series is shortened, the same philosophy applies for a three-game or two-game series.
  • If an event is cancelled, no points are awarded. Points needed to win are readjusted accordingly.
  • For sports that have an RMAC-approved regular season, only those games only are counted in scoring. For sports that are not scheduled by the RMAC (cross country, track and field, golf), the conference championship results are counted. The stroke total in golf spring championship will be used to award points. No postseason or nonconference results are counted in those sports that have an RMAC-approved regular season schedule.
  • For academics, the best grade point average among student-athletes in the involved sports will be calculated for the fall and spring semesters. The highest overall GPA will claim the five points. The criteria will be the same as used for the RMAC Brechler Awards.
