2017 Men's Soccer Postseason Selection Information

RMAC RMAC Tournament: The top six teams from the regular season advance to the RMAC Tournament. The top two teams receive a bye into the semifinals. In the First Round matchups, the No. 3 seed will host the No. 6 seed (and advance to play the No. 2 seed), while the No. 4 seed will host the No. 5 seed (and advance to play the No. 1 seed). The No. 1 seed will host both the semifinal and championship rounds, even if the No. 1 seed loses in the semifinal round.

Only regular season games, indicated by the "RMAC" text next to the opponent, count in the RMAC standings.
NCAA NCAA Tournament: The RMAC Tournament champion will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II men's soccer tournament. The NCAA will accept four total teams to the national tournament from the South Central Region, which will include the conference tournament champions from the RMAC and Heartland Conference, which allows for two at-large bids. The selection show will take place on Nov. 6.

The No. 1 seed will host the No. 4 seed while the No. 2 seed will host the No. 3 seed in the Second Round. All teams from the South Central Region receive a bye in the First Round due to an uneven number of qualifying teams from each of the eight regions. The top remaining seed from the South Central Region will host the NCAA Third Round and Quarterfinal Round along with the two remaining teams from the West Region, even if the team loses in the Third Round.

As part of NCAA Division II's regionalization philosophy, only games against regional opponents count in the postseason selection. For UCCS, that includes any teams in the South Central Region, in a neighboring state, and from the West Region.
