Jared Verner - Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Information
The committee had their first meeting on September 18, 2012. The committee discussed representation from Student Government as well as Student Athlete Representation. Steve Kirkham, Athletic Director gave a directors report and discussed the strategic plan for the Athletic Department. New business included a discussion of how to get more faculty involvement as well as better advertising to promote home athletic events.
Updates on UCCS Teams
- Two players from the Men’s Soccer Team have been selected for the RMAC First Team All-Academic Honors
- Two players from the Women’s Soccer Team have been selected for RMAC All-Academic Honors
- Both soccer teams play tonight and Sunday at Mountain Lion Stadium
- The Volleyball Team remains unbeaten at home
Lastly, UCCS placed 25th among Division II colleges in comprehensive study of both Academics and Athletics
