2020: Started all 11 of his appearances … Hit. 182 with three runs scored … Totaled eight hits with four doubles and one home run … Drove in three RBI … OPS of .591 … Stole one base … Recorded 91 putouts and nine assists … Fielding percentage of 1.000 … Threw out two baserunners … Went 3-for-10 with two doubles in the series against Colorado Christian.

2019: .325 batting avg., .994 OPS, 15 total runs, 6 total homeruns ... Recorded 2 runs vs. Cal Poly Pomona, New Mexico Highlands, and Adams State ... 100% fielding percentage, 109 catches, 95 putouts

PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Attended the University of California, Riverside for one year.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Vista Murrieta for freshman and sophomore years... For junior and senior years, attended Temecula Valley... In 26 games during his senior year, Ryan batted .276 with a .317 OBP while holding a 1.000 fielding percentage.

PERSONAL: Parents are Fred and Lori Schmidt... Father played baseball at Saddleback College... His second cousin currently plays for the Baltimore Orioles... Third cousin played at the University of Wisconsin.
