Teaming up at the net to lock in three solo blocks were Nicole Martin, Sydnee Walker, and Pitts.

Holding onto a 21-19 lead, the Mountain Lions went on a 3-0 run behind a WU service error, a block from Martin and then a kill from Martin to give UCCS match point. The Griffins attempted to prevent the sweep as they went on their own 3-0 run to cut into UCCS' lead, 24-22, but Martin had the final say with the match-winning kill on Walker's assist.
