COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs volleyball team notched 180 total attacks to advance to the RMAC Tournament Semifinals in 3-1 win over Fort Lewis College.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Mountain Lions took an early 4-0 lead in the first set with two kills from Payton Tompkins and never gave it up. UCCS notched 26 digs and 15 kills for a .261 hitting percentage in route to a 25-21 first set victory.
- UCCS fell down 6-3 early in the second set, but a kill by Rylee Pitts sparked an eight-point run to take an 11-6 lead. The Mountain Lions would only relinquish six more points in the second to win 25-12 while hitting .302.
- The Mountain Lions found themselves up by three through the first 17 points of the third set, but FLC battled back to tie the score at 14 apiece. The Skyhawks would go on an 11-4 run to force a fourth set as UCCS ended the third with 10 errors.
- UCCS refused to let the match move on to five sets, as the team hit .349 and only tallied six errors. Nicole Martin led the fourth set with five kills as Audrey Dowd led with 10 assists. Kinley Gomez was flying around on defense, as she notched eight digs in a 25-18 fourth-set victory for the Mountain Lions.
MATCH STATISTICS
- The Mountain Lions had three players tally double digit kills, being Sydney Hyde with 14, Pitts with 12, and Tompkins with 10.
- Gomez led the match with 33 digs. Maylen Mitrovich (13), Tompkins (13), and Mackenzie Ransom (12) also finished in double digits.
- Dowd led the team with 25 assists, as Mitrovich tallied 24 of her own.
- UCCS led the match in kills (61 to 51), assists (55 to 44), digs (98 to 91), and hitting percentage (.250 to .144).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Mountain Lions won their third RMAC Tournament match on Tuesday night, with the last two occurring in 2007.
- Tuesday's win was the Mountain Lions' 13th straight victory.
- Gomez' 33 digs were the most she has had in a match in her career and ties for the fourth most by a Mountain Lion in a four-set match all time.
- The Mountain Lions' 180 total attacks were a season high.
- The team's 98 digs were a season high for UCCS in a four-set match this season.
- Tompkins' 55 total attacks were the most for her in the 2025 campaign.
