HOW IT HAPPENED
- Service errors plagued the Mountain Lions in the first set of Friday's match as they finished with eight. The end of the first set was a back-and-forth battle as the score reached 24 apiece. - Much like the second set, UCCS took an early 1-0 lead in the third, and never let up. Tompkins led the charge with five kills, as senior Mackenzie Ransom helped maintain the lead with nine digs to the Mountain Lions' total of 23. Despite being down the entire set, the ThunderWolves continued to push as they eventually moved the score to 22-20.
