COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – University of Colorado Colorado Springs sophomore guard Amyah Moore Allen has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week, announced today by the league office.  The Mountain Lions are coming off a home split against Colorado Mesa University on Friday (W, 71-51) and Westminster College (L, 46-55).
 
Moore Allen led UCCS' offense on the weekend as she averaged 19 points, three rebounds and shot 48.4 percent from the floor.  She netted a career-high 22 points against the Mavericks after making a career high nine field goals, helping UCCS snap a six-game loosing skid.  The Colorado Springs, Colo. native added three free throws and a three-pointer while pulling down two boards and adding an assist and a steal.  The following evening against the Griffins, Moore Allen scored a team high 16 points while claiming four caroms, a career high two blocks, an assist and a steal in 40 minutes of action.
 
A product of Harrison High School, Moore Allen has scored at least 10 points in the last six games and has led the Mountain Lions in scoring in the last five games, netting at least 15 points in each game.  A starter in all 10 games this season, she ranks ninth in the league in scoring (14.2) and field goal percentage (40.5).  She becomes the first Mountain Lion to receive RMAC Player of the Week accolades since Feb. 11, 2019 (Madi Gaibler).
 
The Mountain Lions will continue their four-game home stand this weekend when they play host to Colorado Christian University on Dec. 16, and Chadron State College on Dec. 17.  Both games will tip-off at 5 p.m. from Gallogly Events Center.
