HOW IT HAPPENED:

But the Warriors began to work their way back in the following minutes as a three-pointer at the 11-minute mark gave Bacone College their first lead of the game, 23-22. In the next possession Kyle Cabs posted his first points of the game to push UCCS ahead once again but the Warriors continued to hang around and match UCCS with the lead changing hands to Bacone College after two made threes swung the score to a 31-30 Warrior advantage with just under nine minutes to play.
• Down just one point, the Mountain Lion's record-breaking night really began to take off as the Mountain Lions ensued on an impressive 26-2 run in the next five and a half minutes that included 12-of-13 field goal attempts made and 13 points that came off the hands of Mac Stodart alone to help post a 23-point Mountain Lion lead, 56-33.
• As the Warriors attempted to climb out of the 20-point deficit with the first half coming to a close, Jon'il Fugett and the Mountain Lions pushed hard down the floor once again by dishing a pass out to David Jabedo who drained the trey to carry a 61-42 lead into the locker room.
• In the second half, UCCS didn't skip a beat coming out of the intermission as a signature Fugett steal got the action started with the point guard finishing what he started with a layup on the other end.
• That was just the beginning of what was another dominant Mountain Lion half with the next three UCCS possessions resulting in made shots from beyond the arc to make it 74-48. Then off the bench came Sufyan Elkanann and Logan Bracamonte who each had themselves a second period by accounting for 15 of UCCS' next 21 points with Elkannan sinking a three and drawing the foul for what was a four-point play and a 96-61 lead halfway through the period.
• As the offense continued to light up the scoreboard, the Mountain Lions proceeded to handle the Warriors with stellar defense as Beni Fungula tallied up one of 13 team steals under the seven-minute mark and getting the ball to Noah Baca who slammed it home giving Fungula his seventh assist of the night.
