RAPID CITY, S.D. – Playing in their final game of the regular season, the University of Colorado Colroado Springs men's basketball team lost an 84-71 decision Friday night at South Dakota School of Mines.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Mountain Lions trailed from the beginning, 7-0, as the Hardrockers held the lead the entire game.
- Cameron Underwood paced the Mountain Lions in the first half, scoring 12 points on 5-of-8 field goals and 2-of-2 from three-point range.
- Wyatt Dolberry and Geoff Kelly were the second leading scorers in the first half with six points each.
- UCCS had a solid shooting half, hitting 13-of-24 from the floor and 6-of-11 from behind the arc.
- The Hardrockers Alejandro Rama netted 16 first half points and was nearly perfect from the floor, making 7-of-8 field goals and 2-of-3 three-point field goals.
- The second half belonged to the home team as they led by as many as 18 points.
- UCCS cut into the Rockers lead and trailed by as few as five points after Kelly scored five straight points with just 62 ticks left in regulation, but the Hardrockers sealed the win making all eight of their free throw attempts in the last 48 seconds.
STATS FROM THE GAME
- Underwood scored a season high 20 points, 12 of which came from long range. He also added two rebounds and an assist.
- Kelly finished with 11 points after making 3-of-5 from behind the arc.
- Dolberry chipped in 10 points and a team high seven rebounds.
- UCCS made 47.3 percent from the floor and 13-of-27 from long range. Eleven of their 12 free throw attempts came in the second half. The Mountain Lions finished the game hitting 6-of-12 free throws.
- The Rockers put on a strong shooting performance at home, making 62.7 percent from the floor, 11-of-22 from three-point range and 9-of-12 free throws.
