COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Hot shooting by Regis in the first half helped build a lead that was too much to overcome for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's basketball team as they drop to 0-4 with a 81-63 loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Regis got off to a hot start from the field shooting 50% from the field in the first quarter including 4-of-6 from three-point range. UCCS was able to get into the paint early and often as they scored all their points in the quarter from in the lane or the free throw line.
- UCCS pushed back in the second quarter as the shots started to fall for them from inside and outside shooting 100% from deep. McClain Walker and Ines Latapia led the charge with five points each in the quarter. However, Regis' hot shooting continued as they shot 44% keeping the UCCS quarter lead to just one.
- The third quarter was trouble for UCCS as they got outscored 17-5. The Mountain Lions shot just two-of-nine from the field and were also held back by seven turnovers.
- A strong fourth quarter for the Mountain Lions wasn't enough to do too much to the lead. They outscored the Rangers 23-18 on impressive 71.4% from the field. Good energy and tight press defense led to several easy baskets in transition. Emily Doolittle impressed in her first minutes of the season putting five points in a short stint.

- Maison White was a vacuum on the boards tying for a game-high eight rebounds.
