PUEBLO, Colo. – Alijah Comithier and
DaRaun Clark combined to make all six free throw attempts in the final 27 seconds of regulation to help the University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's basketball team to a 73-67 win at Colorado State University Pueblo Saturday night. The win snaps a nine-game losing streak to the ThunderWolves at Massari Arena.

All-Time Series: The ThunderWolves lead the all-time series against UCCS, 42-13. Tonight's win completes the regular season sweep over the Pack as UCCS defeated CSUP in Gallogly Events Center, 83-67 on Dec. 10, 2020.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Both teams traded leads in the first half before Clark hit a floating jumper down the lane as time expired to send the Mountain Lions into the locker room at halftime with a 31-29 lead.
In the second half with just under three minutes to play in regulation, Clark drew a shooting foul and made both free throws to snap a 59-59 tie and give the Mountain Lions a 61-59 lead. UCCS held the lead for the remainder of the game.
Thirty seconds later,
William Becker drew a foul and drilled two more free throws to extend UCCS' lead to four points, 63-59.
Clark put two more points on the scoreboard for a 65-59 lead after snagging a steal with 1:50 left and taking it coast to coast for a fast break layup.
Ten of the Mountain Lions final 14 points of the game came from the free throw line. Clark accounted for eight of UCCS' final 14 points, including 4-4 from the free throw line. Comithier added four points from the charity stripe as he went 4-for-4 in the last 27 seconds.
STATS FROM THE GAME
Clark tied for game high honors with 22 points. He hit on 5-of-13 field goals and made all 12 free throw attempts. He is a perfect 21-for-21 from the free throw line this season.
Comithier was one rebound shy of a double-double as he notched 18 points and nine rebounds. Comithier hit on 6-of-9 field goals and 6-of-7 free throws.
Becker came off the bench to tally 10 points, five rebounds, three steals and an assist.
UCCS shot 38.6 percent from the floor (22-of-57) and made 26-of-32 free throws (81.3 percent). The Mountain Lions were fouled 28 times and attempted 16 more free throws than the ThunderWolves.
The Mountain Lions held a nine-rebound advantage (38-29) and outscored the Pack on second chance points, 10-5.
