COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – In Week 4 of the 2020 Division II Men's and Women's Cross Country National Coaches rankings, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs cross country programs stayed in the Top 10 for the fourth straight week.
The Mountain Lions men's program received 49 points and kept their No. 9 ranking from last week. UCCS is ranked No. 5 in this week's conference rankings after earning a sixth-place finish in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championships this past Saturday.
The women's program is coming off a fifth-place finish at last week's conference championship. Ranked fifth in this week's conference rankings, the Mountain Lions moved two spots to No. 10.
Colorado School of Mines maintains their No. 1 ranking in the men's national poll, while Western Colorado University took over the top spot in the women's national poll.
The committee consists of coaches that volunteered to represent their conference. Division II conferences with teams competing in 2020 are the SAC, LSC, RMAC, MIAA, PBC, GSC, GMAC and GVLC.
Each Monday by 5 p.m. the conference representative submits a ranking of the top six men's and top six women's teams in their conference. A team cannot be ranked in their conference or nationally until they have competed this season.
Each Tuesday by 5 p.m. the conference representative submits a national ranking of all of the teams (from the conference rankings) in order from 1-15 for the men's and women's teams.
