LAST TIME OUT
-
The Mountain Lions swept the weekend starting with an upset Friday night against Fort Lewis College, 69-54. UCCS played suffocating defense all night which kept them in the game early on, holding the Skyhawks to just six points in the second quarter. Abby Feickert hit a monster three at the buzzer, closing out the first half and from there the Mountain Lions controlled the game. The game was exciting until the end as the Skyhawks put up a fight matching UCCS' rebounds 45-46, but ultimately it was UCCS' defense that held the Skyhawks to just 29 percent shooting accuracy, compared to their 39.4 percent from field goal range and 31.6 percent from behind the arc.
-
Saturday night UCCS took control of the game early on holding Adams State University to just four points in the first quarter. Freshman Mckenna Baker led the team in points with 13, shooting 50 percent in field goal range and adding to the score with two more assists.
