DENVER – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's lacrosse team lost a 16-5 decision Thursday afternoon at No. 4 Regis University. The setback moves UCCS to 6-7 on the season and 4-3 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference with two regular season games remaining.

Morgan Miller seven minutes into the game for the first score, 1-0. The Rangers (14-0, 7-0 RMAC) responded with nine straight goals for a 9-1 lead before
Natalie Church and
Heather O'Hern found the back of the net.
After 30 minutes of action, the Rangers took an 11-3 lead into halftime and continued their offensive attack with four straight goals to start the second half.
Angela Naughton and Sydney Malcom netted two of the last three goals in the final eight minutes to close the game.
Five Mountain Lions registered one goal each with O'Hern and Naughton each adding an assist.
Audrey Napp accounted for five of UCCS' 10 caused turnovers.

Emma Becker each picked up five ground balls.
Kennedy Travis made one save in the first 24 minutes before being relieved by Becker. Becker tallied nine saves in 36 minutes of action.
The Rangers bested UCCS in shots (40-16) and draw controls (15-8), while the Mountain Lions edged RU in ground balls (23-22).
UCCS will play their final home game on Saturday, April 20 at 11 a.m. against No. 8 Lindenwood University.
