GOLDEN, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's basketball team lost their final game of the regular season, 57-38, at Colorado School of Mines Friday night in Lockridge Arena.

Kelly O'Flannigan hit the first basket of the game 25 seconds after tipoff to give UCCS a 3-0 lead, but it would be their last lead of the game as the Orediggers held UCCS to eight points in the opening stanza, 13-8.

UCCS trailed Mines at halftime, 37-16 and were held to 17 points in the second half.

Chelsea Pearson paced UCCS with 11 points and five rebounds.  Six of her points came from downtown and she made half of the Mountain Lions free throws, sinking all three attempts.  As a team, UCCS made 6-of-7 from the charity stripe.

Madi Gaibler pulled down a team high eight rebounds and added three points, four assists and three steals.

The Mountain Lions 38 points are the fewest scored this season.  UCCS netted 14-of-70 field goals for 20 percent, marking the second fewest made field goals this season and the lowest field goal percentage.
