COLORADO Springs, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer team completed their fifth straight shutout win, as they beat Westminster College with a second half goal in a 1-0 match Friday night.
UCCS saw themselves in an unfamiliar position in conference play as they entered the first half scoreless with Westminster holding the edge in shots 5-3 and shots on goal 4-2. But RMAC Goalkeeper of the Week

Despite being out-shot in the first half, the Mountain Lions came out on an offensive push in the 57
th minute to catch the Griffins on their heels as
Tori Maydew split the posts to take a 1-0 lead. The score remained in favor of UCCS as they relied on their back line and sure hands of Smith in goal to hold onto their one score lead, and remain undefeated in conference play.
Maydew recorded her sixth goal of the season as
Aleesa Muir represented well on the backline for UCCS while also recording a shot on goal.
The Griffins and the Mountain Lions each recorded 11 shots as UCCS edged Westminster in shots on goal (9-7), while Westminster held the advantage in saves 8-7.
