COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's basketball team kept their postseason hopes alive with an 88-81 win against MSU Denver on Saturday.
The win put UCCS in seventh place in the RMAC standings.
In the game, UCCS led for the entire second half minus one time the Roadrunners tied it up with 3:22 remaining with a jumper from Jaryn Taylor.
But the Mountain Lions responded with a quick 7-0 run to solidify the lead down the stretch as they earned the series sweep of their rivals as they also downed MSU Denver on the road earlier in the season.
Dalton Walker poured in a team-high 29 points after going 10 of 14 from the field, which included 6 of 9 from long range.
Brandon Malone added 16 points as
Elijah Ross scored 14 points while making seven assists for the Mountain Lions.
The win puts the team at 13-13 overall and 10-10 in the conference as they remain at home when they host Colorado School of Mines next Friday at 7:30 p.m.
