DURANGO, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's basketball team gave No. 20 Fort Lewis all they could handle in an 85-76 setback on the road Saturday night.
The Mountain Lions opened the game with a 14-2 run, but the home standing Skyhawks rallied as the two teams swapped the lead a total of nine times throughout the game.
Nationally-ranked Fort Lewis managed to pull away late, outscoring UCCS 15 to 6 over the final five and a half minutes to seal the win.

Padiet Wang led the Mountain Lions, scoring 20 and 19 points respectively. Ross came just two rebounds and three assists shy of a triple double on the night after shooting 6 of 11 from the field and 6 of 7 at the free throw line.
Wang was 9 of 15 while hauling in five rebounds and being credited with three assists and two blocked shots.
The setback puts UCCS at 5-10 overall and 2-7 in the RMAC as they return home this Friday to take on New Mexico Highlands at 7:30 p.m.
