Men's Basketball Continue Road Success at Westminster

The Mountain Lions have won four straight after getting past Westminster

SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's basketball team earned their second road win of the week by defeating Westminster, 67-61, on Saturday night.

After trailing by two points with 4:27 remaining, the visiting Mountain Lions took the lead for good when Padiet Wang drained a three-pointer off an assist by Elijah Ross.

UCCS held on after hitting free-throws down the stretch as they have now won four games in a row.

Ross led the Mountain Lions by stuffing the stat sheet with 22 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Wang added 11 points off 4 of 6 shooting from the field and 3 of 4 from long range.

With the win, UCCS find themselves just one game under .500 at 10-11 overall and 7-8 in the RMAC. The team returns home this Friday when they host South Dakota Mines at 7:30 p.m.
