COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's basketball team got back into the win column with a 98-73 triumph over visiting Northern New Mexico.
The Mountain Lions never trailed in the game as they led by as much as 28 points early in the second half.
Padiet Wang paced UCCS with a game-high 23 points as the sophomore went 8 of 13 from the field, 2 of 4 from three-point range, and 5 of 6 at the line.
Dalton Walker chipped in 15 points as
Isaiah Wilson added 12 points in the winning effort.
As a team, UCCS shot 54.5 percent from the field, including 7 of 17 from beyond the arc.
The win puts the Mountain Lions at 3-3 overall as they open their conference schedule this Friday on the road at Black Hills State. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in Spearfish, S.D.
