Volleyball Falls to Colorado Christian in RMAC Quarterfinals

The Mountain Lions saw their season end in a four-set match on the road at Colorado Christian

LAKEWOOD, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs volleyball team saw their season come to an end, falling to Colorado Christian in four sets Tuesday evening in the RMAC Tournament quarterfinals.

The No. 5-seed Mountain Lions were led by Grace Nelson's 12 kills. The sophomore finished the match with a .391 hitting percentage off of 23 attempts.

Taylor Smith and Josie Russell added nine kills as Taylor Hamilton and Alyssa Brinton chipped in eight kills each.

Defensively, Natasha Habert notched a match-high 24 digs as Hamilton had four blocks (1 solo, 3 assists).

UCCS rallied in the fourth set when they trailed 22-17, scoring six of the next seven points to draw within one of the Cougars. But following a Colorado Christian timeout, the No.4-seeded Cougars scored the next two points to close out the match.

The Mountain Lions end the season with a 15-12 record and completed their third consecutive winning season.
