COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Coming off a thrilling double-overtime win at CSU-Pueblo to finish the regular season, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women's soccer team earned the No. 3-seed in the 2017 RMAC Women's Soccer Tournament.
The Mountain Lions will host No. 6-seed Colorado Mesa inside Mountain Lion Stadium on Tuesday with the game scheduled for 7 p.m.
In their only meeting of the season, the visiting Mavericks edged UCCS, 1-0, after scoring a late goal in the final minute of regulation.
UCCS outshot Colorado Mesa 22 to 11 while pressuring the Mavericks with nine corner kicks in the setback.
The Mountain Lions enter the conference tournament having won eight of their last nine games and are winners of their last three games.
The winner of the game will advance to the semifinals, which will be hosted by the highest seeded team remaining and will be play on Friday, Nov. 3.
