UCCS Takes Three-Game Win Streak to Nebraska

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's basketball team will take a three-game winning streak on the road for a Friday night matchup against Chadron State. The Mountain Lions (3-4, 2-0 RMAC) plays the Eagles (0-6, 0-2 RMAC) at 7:30 p.m., at the Chicoine Center.

The three wins came during the first three home games of the season and UCCS will play for its first road win of the season. The Mountain Lions fell by one in their last road game in a 92-91 contest at Nebraska-Kearney on Nov. 23. Chadron State played the Lopers on Nov. 23, and took UNK to overtime before a 75-65 loss at home.

UCCS has shot 40 percent or better in three of its last four games, and is outscoring opponents by 11.3 points per game in the last three games. The Mountain Lions have outrebounded their last six opponents and lead the RMAC with 42.3 rebounds per game.

Ian MacDonald scored 12 points in his last trip to Chadron State as UCCS scored 100 points against the Eagles. Tim Haas and Blend Avdili both added 11 points and the team shot 55 percent from the field. The Mountain Lions have won their last eight games against Chadron State dating back to Head Coach Jeff Culver's first season in 2012-13.

Darius Polley and Warren Gordon are scoring 41 percent of the Eagles' points this season with 14.7 points and 14.3 points per game, respectively. Austin Hall leads the defense with 4.5 rebounds per game with three total blocks.

Charlie Botnick will cover the game with play-by-play action and Mac Buckley will provide the color analysis on the UCCS Athletic Network. The game will be carried through the team's Facebook and Twitter pages.
