COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Playing in their final game of the season, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs picked up a 1-0 win at home on Sunday over New Mexico Highlands.
The lone goal of the game came early as
Megan O'Driscoll scored her first goal of the season in the 4
th minutes off a pass into the area from
Bailee Jameson.
UCCS was able to hold on to the lead the rest of the way as goalkeeper
Grace Ramsden was able to earn the clean sheet with six gaves.
As a team, the Mountain Lions took 13 shots, putting five on goal as
Michaela Mansfield led the team with four shots and two shots on goal.
The win gives UCCS a final record of 3-12-1 overall and 3-8-1 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
The team celebrated their departing seniors in a special pre-game ceremony, honoring
Jess Freeze,
Dana Shellhorn, Ramsden, and Mansfield.
