COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs used one of the best offensive performances in program history to finish the 2016 regular season home schedule in a 3-0 sweep of South Dakota Mines tonight at the Gallogly Events Center. The Mountain Lions (14-8, 9-5 RMAC) won in 25-13, 25-12 and 25-16 sets against the Hardrockers (1-24, 0-14 RMAC).

Morgan Evans and assistant coach Aryn Moura participated in their final match in the Gallogly Events Center for the regular season. The Mountain Lions moved up to fourth in the standings with tonight's win and the loss by Regis to Colorado Mines. The top four teams in the standings will host the quarterfinal matches in November.
Four Mountain Lions finished with seven or more kills, led by
Alyssa Brinton's nine kills. Evans made 32 assists and needs 153 to tie for third in program career records.
Aly Morgan led both teams with 10 digs and
Taylor Hamilton led the blockers with five. UCCS recorded nine team blocks, the most in a three-set match since Oct. 3, 2015.
The Mountain Lions will finish the regular season with four road matches, starting on Nov. 4 at Western State. The Mountaineers (12-10, 8-6 RMAC) defeated Westminster 3-2 earlier tonight.
