COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A balanced scored attack with six student-athletes scoring nine or more points led the University of Colorado Colorado Springs to its fifth straight win after an 81-75 victory against New Mexico Highlands tonight in the Gallogly Events Center. The Mountain Lions (15-6, 11-4 RMAC) improved to 9-1 since Jan. 1, and reached the 15-win mark for the seventh time in program history.
Shannon Kelly and
Shanah Leaf both scored 15 points, and
Mia Carter led the bench with a season-high 11 points.
Jen Vigil scored 10 points in her fifth straight game with 10 or more points, and
Tori Fisher and
Jennah Knafelc both added nine points. Kelly led the Mountain Lions in rebounding for the seventh time this season with seven rebounds.
