COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. –
The No. 18 University of Colorado Colorado Springs men's basketball team will face the only visiting team that won in the Gallogly Events Center this season in the RMAC Shootout Quarterfinal game. The Mountain Lions (23-5) will face Colorado Mesa (19-9) at 8 p.m.
UCCS was 12-1 at home during the regular season, and earned another home game with a No. 3 seed in the tournament. It's the second straight season with a home playoff game for the Mountain Lions. UCCS won its first playoff game at home a season ago in an 87-85 win against Adams State.
The game will feature two of the top five scorers in Division II with Colorado Mesa's Ryan Stephan (2nd – 25.4 ppg) and UCCS'
Derrick White (5th – 24.5 ppg). They both have 40-point games this season, and Stephan's came against UCCS in a 100-92 decision on Jan. 10.
The teams are the top two teams in the conference in assists, with UCCS averaging a program-record 17.4 per game and Mesa averaging 17.0 per game. The Mavericks' Derek Biale is leading the RMAC with a 3.1 assist-to-turnover ratio, while White is third with a 2.4 ratio.
White and
Alex Welsh both have more than 200 rebounds this season to rank in the top eight of program records. Welsh is third in UCCS with 549 career rebounds, and White is fifth with 472. The Mountain Lions have three of the top 10 career scorers in program history with White's program-record 1,748 points, Welsh's 1,181 points and
Darius Pardner's 1,027 points.

Video will be available on a pay-per-view basis through America One Sports, and will be available for free for xfinity subscribers on Comcast Entertainment Television (channels 105/900) on the Front Range. Fans unable to secure a ticket for the game will also be able to watch the game for free in Berger Hall.
