Win Tonight Secures Home Playoff Game for #18 UCCS

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The No. 18 University of Colorado Colorado Springs will play for the chance to secure a home game in the 2015 RMAC Tournament with a win tonight when the Mountain Lions (22-4, / 16-4 RMAC) take on Regis (5-19 / 3-17 RMAC) at 7 p.m., in the Regis Fieldhouse. A win would guarantee a top four spot in the tournament and a home game in the quarterfinal round on Tuesday night.

UCCS has won its last three games against the Rangers, including a 94-53 victory at home on Dec. 13. The Mountain Lions shot 56 percent from the field in that game and has six student-athletes score at least 10 points, led by Tim Billingsley's 17 points.

The Mountain Lions have the best scoring offense in the conference at 88 points per game and the most assists with 17.58 per game. UCCS is on pace to break the program records in both categories this season and already broke the record with 457 total assists.

Derrick White leads Division II with a program-record 664 points this season and is second in the nation with 25.5 points per game. He is among the top 50 student-athletes in the nation in assists, blocked shots, steals, and is just outside the top 5 in defensive rebounds per game.  The Mountain Lions rank in the top 25 of the nation in scoring offense, scoring margin, field goal percentage, assists per game, assist-to-turnover ratio and free throws made.

Brett Hartshorne leads Regis with 12.3 points per game and Dexter Sienko is averaging 6.9 rebounds per game for the Rangers. The weekend will be the final home games for Regis Head Coach Lonnie Porter, who will retire after this season with more than 500 victories in 38 seasons.

Fans will be able to follow tonight's action for free with live stats through Regis and with live audio through UCCS. Live pay-per-view video streaming will be provided through America One Sports.
