Jennah Knafelc led the Mountain Lions with 14 points and
Jen Vigil added 13 points with a game-high six steals as UCCS (6-5, 2-3 RMAC) fell 83-63 to Chadron State (2-7, 2-3 RMAC) tonight in the Gallogly Events Center.
Knafelc's scoring mark was her best of the conference season and her first double-digit night since a 19-point performance against Saint Martin's on Nov. 28. Vigil made her most points since 21 against Johnson & Wales on Nov. 24, and made her first start since Nov. 21 against Northern State. Her six steals matched her season-high from California State-East Bay on Nov. 21.
UCCS will take a week off from practices and competition, along with the rest of NCAA Division II student-athletes, next week. The Mountain Lions will return to competition on Jan. 1, in a noon game at Fort Lewis. The Skyhawks (7-3, 3-2 RMAC) defeated Western State 84-45 earlier tonight in Gunnison, Colo.
