1/3/2015 11:30:00 PM

Box Score COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Junior guard Derrick White led both teams with 29 points and 10 rebounds as No. 3 University of Colorado Colorado Springs continued its undefeated mark in a 101-81 victory against Colorado State-Pueblo tonight in the Gallogly Events Center. The Mountain Lions (13-0 / 7-0 RMAC) won their fourth straight game by 20 or more points.

UCCS never trailed during the game and shot 56 percent from the field and 43 percent from the three-point line. It was the second 100-point game of the season and the first of the conference season.

White scored  at least 20 points for the sixth time in the last seven games and went 10-of-16 from the field for his third straight game with 60 percent or greater shooting. The 10 rebounds also marked his fourth double-double of the season. He added three blocked shots on defense.

Alex Welsh scored 16 points on eight-of-16 shooting and Tim Billingsley rounded out the top scorers with 11 points. UCCS shot better than 55 percent as a team for the fifth time this season and recorded a double-digit rebounding advantage for the third time in the last four games.

Only seven other teams in Division II are undefeated this season, a number that decreased tonight after No. 2 Florida Southern lost to No. 11 Barry. Three of those undefeated teams are in the South Central Region, including Colorado School of Mines from the RMAC.

UCCS will remain in Colorado Springs and take on Western State (3-9 / 2-6 RMAC) in the Third Annual Downtown Classic on Jan. 9. The game will tip-off at 7:30 p.m., at the historic Colorado Springs City Auditorium.
