9/5/2014 11:01:00 PM

Box Score COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs scored within a minute of Hawaii Pacific's goal early in the second half, and the goals would hold for the rest of the night as the two squads tied 1-1 after two overtimes at Mountain Lion Stadium. UCCS (0-0-1) held Hawaii Pacific (2-0-1) to its lowest score total of the early season.

James Roberts scored the unassisted goal for UCCS (0-0-1) with a shot into the top left corner off of the right side of the goalie box in the 48th minute, 28 seconds after Brais Garcia put the Sharks on the board. It was the 12th of Roberts' career and moved him to within three goals of No. 10 in UCCS program records.

Peter Vogrin made six saves in his first career start as goalkeeper. The Mountain Lion defense held the Sharks to a season-low 13 shots. UCCS also got off nine shots, the most allowed by the Shark defense this season.

The tie puts UCCS at 7-1-1 when opening the season with a home since 1994.

The Mountain Lions will travel this weekend for a Sunday morning game at Eastern New Mexico at 11 a.m. The Greyhounds lost 1-0 in overtime to Adams State on Thursday in their season-opener.
